Jeffrey Mahoney, MD

Dr. Mahoney took care of my issue and now I feel wonderful. The nurses and staff were awesome! My cardiologist recommended Dr. Mahoney as the best in Omaha and I am happy he did.

As a care provider, this doctor is certainly competent. However I had an experience which left me flabbergasted. When describing my arythmia symptoms to the nurse over the phone, she literally talked over me on the phone. I even went off speaker to make sure we could hear each other. After several minutes of trying my best to describe my situation and having her talk over me, I told her " you know what? You talk a lot better than you listen!" Her response was " Well, I think I'm a GOOD listener!" I really expect health care professionals or any professional to have an attitude of helping, caring and understanding and most of all a willingness to be open to feedback and to improve. This was not the case however. Rather than apologizing and trying better to listen, she asked if I wanted to talk to someone else. Long story short, the office manager suggested politely that I find another doctor to go to. I'm just floored to think that the egos are so great that any physician office would not only ignore this kind of behavior and apparently take it personally not professionally, and blame it on the patient rather than strive to improve and being open to criticism. I eventually did find another doctor but will alway remember this.

I admit the staff were nice and helpful. The doctor was good Dr. Mahoney. I give it 2 Stars because they charged me to give me my results!! NEVER have I ever in my entire life been charged by any doctor not even specialist been charged by a doctor or their office for them to call me and give me my results from a test. That is absurd!! I'm not coming back!!

Years ago I learned I was born with an extra circuit to my heart. I kept passing out, my heart was beating at a very high. Dr. Mahoney saved my life.
