I have seen Dr. Yerra Lakshminarayan multiple times and each time he has given me the same impression; that of a for profit doctor being forced to see a Medicaid patient. I do not feel like I am given the time of day, listened to well, understood, checked out appropriately, my symptoms are definitely not investigated at all and I have not once been treated for what I have gone to him for which are severe and persistent chest pains, shortness of breath, gasping often involuntarily throughout every day, rapid heart rate at rest in excess of 170 beats per minute as many as 40 plus times per day, often followed by an abrupt drop in heart rate, as slow as 40 beats per minute or less, yet not as often, and passing out without knowing it, all which he is very dismissive of. Last time I saw Dr. Yerra Lakshminarayan I told him that this all does not seem normal and asked him when he told me that he would see in six months, "what am I supposed to do until then? My chest hurts all the time. I gasp so bad sometimes." He told me I should just go to "the breathing doctor". I explained to him that I had been to my pulmonologist and that he had said that my breathing is fine, that it is a heart issue and I need to bring it up with my heart doctor. So I waited months to be seen by Dr. Yerra Lakshminarayan for him to give me a ten second EKG, talk to me for five minutes, totally dismiss me and rush me out the door, saying he would see me in six months, yet again, because he knows he will not make much profit on me, because I am a Medicaid patient and he is a FOR PROFIT doctor. When the nurse came in to schedule me, I told her that, it was okay, I was going to go to Bryan Heart. She seemed shocked. She asked if I would like them to refer me. I said that yes I would in fact like them to refer me to Bryan Heart, where I would never have to wait 2-3 months to be seen, would not be dismissed and would have ample testing done to investigate my symptoms. I left to get my hair cut close by and was seated right away and received a call which I ignored. The calls persisted, so I looked to see who it was and it was CHI Heart. I thought maybe I had forgotten my water jug, or they were calling with my referral to Bryan Heart, but it was actually Dr. Yerra Lakshminarayan! He sounded mighty nervous, and I guess that one Medicaid client makes more money than no Medicaid client and he had all of a sudden decided that he was going to let me wear a 14 day heart monitor to monitor my heart rate. That is great and all, but he obviously was not listening to me when I told him that I am currently being tested for multiple sclerosis, which involves two incredibly important MRIs held at different dates, that I cannot wear this 14 day heart monitor during, and I cannot just take it off and put it on. So I have not been able to wear the 14 day heart monitor yet and I have still been experiencing the before mentioned symptoms, undiagnosed, untreated, still suffering. If it was up to me I would never see Dr. Yerra Lakshminarayan again. I do not recommend him, especially if you have public healthcare. If you are reading this, Dr. Yerra Lakshminarayan, I ask you this, if your son, daughter, wife, or loved one or anyone you actually care about came to you with the symptoms I presented you with, or maybe yourself, would you have given them the same care that you gave me? Think about that the next time you work with a Medicaid, Medicare or really any patient.
Dr. Yerra is very detailed in his care. I trust him in making the right decisions for my health needs.
Dr. Yerra is very pleasant, thoughtful, he listens and explains. Would highly recommend.
