Patient
My father had a heart scan here two weeks ago where he was told he would need open heart surgery that would have to take place in Billings. We've spent this time stressing and preparing while my dad called the hospital multiple times to get his scans sent to his primary. He was so scared and just wanted some answers on what was explained to him to be a very dangerous condition. TWO weeks later his primary finally got his scans and immediately noticed basically no change from his previous scans and told him that he had nothing to worry about. Two weeks of being told absolutely no heavy lifting so I drove two hours to help with some essential chores and he had to pause the work he was doing on his roof. Why was this tech/doctor(?) unable to read the ultra sound and why were they convinced that my father would have to travel to Billings for this operation? No follow up from colleges or higher ups needed? My father is covered by medicare so that may be all the explanation needed on why this process was so rushed on Community's side, but i really hope that's not the case. I'm incredibly happy that he is in good health but incredibly frustrated at the lack of communication and urgency in getting my father the bast care possible. Hopefully he won't have to come back anytime soon.
