Patient
Dr. Hanna Konarzewska pushed Ozempic on me while I was in the hospital. I had not yet been her patient, she came to do rounds and discussed my weight and then my A1c. After I was discharge and finally got in to see her in her office she told me she wanted me to start on .50 mg. A year after I had lost 20% of my body weight she said she wanted me to start taking 1 mg of the Ozempic and lose another 20%. I had started the shots when I was at approximately 320 lbs. At no time did she say anything about my A1c. When I visited my Nephrologist for my CKD stage 4 he said that my A1c of 4.5 was too low with my kidney disease. So he lowered the Ozempic back down to.50 mg. When I next saw Hanna she seemed displeased about the change in dosage, but didn't say much. Before I was taken in to see her though, she came out to talk to another patient of hers. The elderly gentleman proceeded to tell her that after he read the paper that came in the bottle of the medication she had previously prescribe to him, he didn't want to take it. She told him never to read those because they'll just scare people. She then told him he still didn't want to take it. I was then called into the office so I've no idea how it ended up. She bullied him and that's not a good way to practice medicine! I've NEVER seen or heard of any other doctor do that to me or anyone else! She is no longer with the Benefis office, but I hope she doesn't practice medicine ever again. Currently I weigh 160 lbs with tons of hanging flabby skin from a weight loss of 165 lbs in 19 months.
