Dr. Damiano saved my life. I had aortic valve replacement for a congenital issue and my valve had become severely calcified. While he had no explanation of how I was alive prior to surgery, he expertly replaced my valve while having to scrap bone off of my heart for hours. After surgery he kindly visited me and his demeanor was kind and loving. When I first met him there was something so powerful about his presence. I would also give 0 stars if possible. Dr Damiano was supposed to give my grandmother another "10-15 years of life" by performing her surgery. We were given the runaround by a different surgeon for 11 days as to why her surgery went wrong which caused her to be put in a medically induced coma where her kidneys and colon failed. Our family desperately reached out to Dr Damiano for those 11 days seeking answers, being told that he was indeed receiving our messages and IGNORED us.
My grandmother is DEAD and this man can't tell us why.

Dr. Damiano saved my life! I had him as a surgeon in 2015 for open heart surgery after having open heart surgery in 2014 with a bad doctor in Jefferson City that truly almost killed me from what she had done. I was so bad when I found him that I had a hard time walking 5 feet. The doctor and his team ran several test on me and tried less evasive things before doing open heart on me. When I say "open heart surgery " that's what I mean, not a by pass surgery. He literally replaced 2 valves and cleaned up and fixed other things the previous person (I won't call her a doctor) had done to me. I would recommend him as a surgeon. He truly did save my life!

Would give 0 stars if I could. He has had a grievance filed against him and soon to be lawsuit. If only he had fully read a patient's medical history and ran every necessary test before deciding on a surgery, he wouldn't have caused a young father of 3 to remain in the ICU for over a month now with the next step being hospice.
