Dr. Charles E. Canter, MD

My son, Dallas Brown, received a Heart Transplant at just shy of one month old. We recently celebrated his 29th birthday. He survives with the same heart he received at that tender age. I can not possibly say enough good things about Dr Canter. Plain and simply, he saved my sons life.

He saved my son life in 2000 he was 6 months old. Dr Canter repaired my sons PDA in surgery that morning. He was about to leave and go home when I believe GOD told him to come check on my son in his hospital bed. I was in the bed with my 6 month old son when I felt a pull from out of my arms. Once I woke up all I saw was my son hanging over the doctors arm and he was giving my son chest compressions. Instantly I ran behind him and asked what happened he said when he checked on my son was blue and was dead on my arms. I asked him what made him come check on him Dr Canter said I was headed home and decided to check on Baby Poe. I am truly grateful for you and your quick response. My son is 19 years old and is with STL Police Dept as a Cadet

My son was an extremely rare case back in 1987. I was told if he lived to be 3 be would be comatose in a vegistaive state. Dr. Canter gave me hope and begged me NOT to give up; to let him operate and continue to figure out what else was causing Jake's devestating/fatal issues. My son was 5 months old and they wanted me to pull the plug! Praise God for Dr. Charlie Canter! Jacob Teal (Wolfman Jake haha),graduated High School at the age of 15. He earned his first BS at ITT University at age 18. Today, he is 32, has an awesome job with GM, he's married, has a gorgeous 15 month old daughter and another child on the way. (Again, something the docs told me would never happen). But not Charlie Canter. He was in our court every step of the way back then. God's blessings to this amazing doctor! Amazing man!

Dr.Cantor is an amazing doctor. He is always on the run but very intelligent
