Ricardo Ramos, MD, earned his medical degree from Federal University of Health Sciences of Porto Alegre in Brazil. He broadened his training in the U.S. with fellowships in clinical cardiac electrophysiology, cardiology and internal medicine at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Fla. He's certified in electrophysiology, cardiovascular medicine and internal medicine. "Our parents influence our lives. My father is a cardiologist, and he played a big role in my decision to go into medicine," says Dr. Ramos. As an electrophysiologist, Dr. Ramos conducts studies in the cath lab to diagnose and treat abnormal heart rhythms.
