When I moved to Kansas City from Middle Tennessee, I was gravely ill from heart disease and several misdiagnoses from my former doctors in Tennessee. Dr. Steinhaus implanted a pacemaker and defibrillator which have functioned remarkably well. Dr. Steinhaus keeps a close eye on all information regarding my heart health and his office has contacted me when concerns arose concerning the read out results of my heart monitoring system. When meeting with him, Dr. Steinhaus explains medical information in language that is understandable to the average patient. He's always seems "tuned in" to any questions and concerns I have. There is not even one aspect of his treatment of my heart with which I can find fault. I am moving out of state and I can only fervently hope that I can find a doctor as competent and caring as Dr. Steinhaus. I am 76 years old and am now able to walk 6 miles a day with NO ill affects. I have never engaged in smoking or drinking and have jogged and walked regularly for 56 years. However, I have still ended up with atrial fibrillation, congestive heart failure and an enlarged heart. I am 6'4" tall and weigh 169 pounds.I can't explain why or how I contracted heart disease, but I CAN tell you being a cooperative patient and having a heart surgeon such as Dr. Steinhaus, my life has taken a turn in a very positive direction.
