Dr. Ahmad has been very impactful in maintaining my health. When she became my primary care doctor, I was impressed by the thoroughness of the introductory check-up. Later, the aggressive medical approach she took to diagnose a concerning cough and shortness of breath ultimately proved to be life saving. We went through a process with specialists that she brought onto the case, that resulted in a series of tests including EKG, and a CT scan that discovered a nodule on my lower right lung. She ordered a PET scan that indicated the nodule was benign, but she, consulting with another specialist felt that a biopsy was necessary as PET scans do occasionally miss diagnose malignant tissue. It was through this pursuit by Dr. Ahmad that pushed to get me an early biopsy that discovered the nodule was cancerous. When I took these tests, I was 83 years old. While the thing she was concerned about did not seem to be an issue from the first few tests, she was unrelenting in her pursuit with other medical professionals to ensure I was expeditiously receiving the appropriate treatment. After a 5 and a half hour lobectomy and a loss of 30 pounds, I am in the process of a full recovery. I highly recommend Dr. Ahmad and am especially appreciative of her skill, her passion, and compassion.
