Jose Mauricio Sanchez, MD - The Heart Health Center

How would you like to have congestive heart failure and have a doctor that doesn't know what medications you should be on? My wife was transported to the hospital in an ambulance, 6 days later While in the hospital Dr. Sanchez showed up in her room to ask how much of this specific heart medicine were you taking? My wife said 100 mg. He said you should have been on 400 mg. I went home that night and the bottle read with his name on it. 200 mg tablet cut in half and take once a day. That's 100 mg That's kind of scary My wife died 2 days later. It's so sad she had so much faith in this guy and I think she was let down. Is St. Luke's really the heart health hospital they claim to be ?

I have gone to Dr Sanchez for years and think very highly of him. He's understanding and easy to talk to. Even though I know he's very busy, I never feel rushed during my appointments. I trust him.

Dr Sanchez started off his relationship with me being snarky and kind of an ass to me. I asked him a question regarding my heart rhythm when my Dr. Dr Pieper was out. This was a few years ago. I gave him a second chance and he did a PFA procedure for Afib on October 29. Seems very competent but never explained the blanking period, told me that the procedure might take care of my frequent PACs. Since then I have lost a lot of confidence in him when he told me that the procedure was for Afib today and not PACs, when I continued to have PACs frequently. I am 8 weeks post ablation and worried, but instead of reassurance today he went back to his snarky self. I am one of those patients that doctors and NP probably hate because I need answers and sometimes reassurance. However, I feel like he has just blatantly lied to me now. That did not help my health anxiety. Seeking a new EP, I came to this practice because a family member recommended Dr Pieper. I am sure others have had good experiences but I am not happy with him. Never have ever seen him in office.

Dr Jose Mauricio Sanchez , MD is one of the finest cardiologists and doctors I've ever met. I've had numerous issues in the past years with afib and my heart well Dr Sanchez just performed the " Watchman " device procedure on me because I had a major bleed and needed an alternative to blood thinners. I am grateful to Dr Sanchez for giving me a choice to be able to go off these blood thinners and not have to worry so much about the blood clotting now with this new device implanted. All the heart doctors at the Heart health Center are wonderful and I highly recommend them.

Found him snarky and lacking in courtesy, bedside manner, etc. was to have a pacemaker test but check is set up for 2026. Not sure why but I am not impressed.
