Midwest Heart Rhythm Inc: Fredman, Carey S MD FACC

I was a Patient with Midwest heart rhythm for a while now until June 19TH 2024. The day before my appointment their office Called me and said they have to cancel my appointment with the new doctor that took the place of my former doctor since he moved out of state. This makes the Second time now that they have done this to me. Since the new doctor came I feel I am being neglected and I refuse to have any thing to do with them. I have called and made a complaint against them. They need to hire more Drs. especially those like ourselves.

Dr Fredman was absolutely excellent in taking his time, being conservative in his approach, talking with our family regarding our mother's situation and including us in the decision of her treatment. Follow up appts in his office are always prompt, on time and with explanation. I would highly recommend Dr Fredman and his team! Suzy Green

Prior to becoming a patient with Dr. Carey Fredman, my father had a massive myocardial infarct heart attack, which damaged over 75% of his heart muscle. The scar tissue caused by the heart attack caused electrical problems which were initially addressed by a pacemaker. Eventually the pacemaker was no longer adequate. His symptoms caused him to be put in the cardiac unit and was taken to the cardiac cath suite to do testing which would find out what was exactly happening to his heart. They actually induced irregular beats. It was found that his heart produced 3 rogue beats. 1st beat pattern - his body was able to correct the rhythm by itself. 2nd beat pattern - his pacemaker was capable of correcting the rhythm. 3rd beat pattern - dropped my father dead on the spot. Because of these three rogue patters it was determined that my father would be an excellent candidate for ICD placement. That is when we met Dr. Fredman. Dr. Fredman explained carefully what was happening to my fathers heart and what was needed to remedy the situation. He answered his questions, as well as ours, and we had quite a few. Dr. Fredman placed the ICD unit and programmed the device. He also saw my father routinely to download the device and determine any changes to the programming that needed to be made. He effectively gave my father back his life for approximately 10 years. Dr. Fredman was not only a technically perfect diagnostician, he was also one of the kindest men I have ever met. He managed to mix his expert knowledge with kindness in a way that always benefits the patient and the patient's family. He will always explain what is going on and what needs to be done in a way that the lay person will understand. Dr. Fredman's staff are of the same ilk. You can't fake being truly interested in your patient and their familyf. If you find yourself in need of a cardiac rhythm specialist to correct a life altering problem of heart disease, Dr. Carey Fredman is the man for the job.

One of my very favorite Drs & Nurses. Dr Fredman, I will miss you & thank you for all you did for me! Gene, Tara, will also be highly missed. One Special group!
