My first clue that things would not go as they needed to be when I was told I didn't need to come back for another full year. Then when I asked him about switching my blood pressure medication because it was counteracting with my diabetic medication, He was unwilling to even cooperate with that. I understand that this might be used to treat other people who have diabetes, but no two people are the same. If you sign up to be a doctor, you're supposed to take what your patient says In consideration, After being told that he was unwilling to switch my medication, I decided that it was best if I found someone who actually listens to their patients because the patient knows their body better than any doctor, who they only see once a year

First visit, didn't exam me. Didn't listen to my heart, nothing. Said my EKG in office looked fine. My high heart rate and palpitations were because I "drink too much". I drink maybe 2x a year & that's maximum. Then proceeded to say I'm too young to have heart issues as if it only affects senior citizens? Had some concerns regarding my echo & instead was told "nothing significant" & I was fine. I know my body. I know at age 26, I should not be this exhausted all the time, this winded & dizzy when my heart rate rises. My heart rate jumps from 50-140s in minutes for absolute no reason. So I am advocating for myself and got myself into see a new cardio at Mercy. My advice for anyone with any doctor is to always advocate for yourself. No one knows your body better than you!

I have known Dr. Bob for 4 years and am also a patient. He is by far the most caring and compassionate physician that I have ever met. He is very knowledgeable and always puts his patients first!!!
