Growing up in Glen Allan, Mississippi, Dr. Donny Stokes spent a lot of time with family, hunting, fishing, and studying the Bible. His medical journey began when he enlisted as a combat medic in the Mississippi Army National Guard and worked as a nationally registered emergency medical technician, followed by becoming a registered nurse and working in multiple areas (mainly in the emergency room and cardiac catheterization lab). At that point, Dr. Stokes obtained a direct commission as a 2LT in the United States Army Reserve. Dr. Stokes is a veteran and was activated during Desert Shield/Desert Storm.

Dr. Stokes is absolutely one of the best doctors I've ever used. He discusses everything clearly and being a man of faith he understands when I say I need to pray about something before I can proceed, which makes me more appreciative of him. His nurses are incredible. I use the clinic in Brookhaven the most because it's closer. His nurses and staff in Brookhaven and Jackson are both great.
On yesterday 7-11-22 I had a follow up with Dr Stokes, he n his team is very good. They laugh with u n have fun. I am very happy to have him as my Dr. I appreciate u Dr Stokes n your team. I am very glad I changed my Dr n location to Jackson Heart to be under Dr Stokes. I love their personalities. Inside joke get a pineapple
Dr Stokes and his team are amazing. When it comes to his patience's Dr. Stokes is bless with a personality when he explain your diagnoses. I feel very comfortable in talking and asking about my health. Lol...And also handsome love my Dr. For the amazing doctor he is.
All staff are friendly and professional!! Dr. Stokes explains everything from start to finish! I have never left an office visit wondering what the care plan is or what the next steps are for me! I have recommended him to family and friends and will continue to do so!
I have seen Dr. Stokes and his NP since an emergency hospital visit requiring a heart monitor. He certainly has a good bedside manner, communicates in easily understood terminology, and has been careful to check for potential problems. I appreciate these attributes in a doctor.
