Dr Loria is a wonderful and brilliant cardiologist. I have been a patient since 2016 when I was diagnosed with heart failure due to alcoholism. She has always been compassionate and understanding and took on my case and literally saved my life, thanks to her years of experience and caring nature. She will tell me the truth and not what I want to hear. I appreciate that about her. There are doctors who have been judgemental due to the cause of my heart issues, Dr. Loria has always treated me with respect. I highly recommend this amazing human being and cardiologist.

If I could give zero stars I would. I was referred to Dr. Loria after being in the ER with heart issues. After doing much research and talking to friends I believed that I had POTS (Postural Orthostatic tachycardia syndrome). I have a lot of friends all over the country who have already been diagnosed with POTS. I compared my symptoms with my friends and they were all the time. I was convinced I had post covid pots after dealing with these specific POTS symptoms for a while. I mentioned it to her in the first appointment and she brushed it off very quickly. Even standing up to go to the doctors table a few feet away from the chair I was extremely short of breath and got dizzy. She asked if I was okay and I said no this is why I am here. After wasting 2 weeks of my life putting me on a heart monitor and getting other tests done she blamed all my heart issues on my PTSD. I was apprehensive to even mention I had this because a lot of doctors have gaslighted me in the past for it. Even after mentioning many times I have been having frequent full black outs of 3-5 seconds (another sign of POTS) she didn't even write it in the report. Her final report of my heart monitor was very wrong. I had to report all my symptoms and I did report the fainting episodes that were happening and she didn't even mention it!!!!! She also said my heart rate only went up to 180 which still isn't normal because I was just walking around or going up stairs no real physical activity. I know in my worst episodes it went up to 200bpm+ because of my Apple Watch. In those I also got hot flashes, vomiting, dizziness and much more. When they called with my results I was told I don't need any follow up and that I was fine. She said it was because of my PTSD. Well sorry ma'am but you were very wrong and I pushed for it. I know my body best and so I got a second opinion. The first thing the cardiologist did was take my vitals laying down, sitting, and standing (similar to a tilt table test) and he was able to know right away it was for sure POTS. My other primary care doctor had been in contact with him as well and fill him in on my black outs and everything else going on. He said my case of POTS is one of the most severe he has ever seen and I need to get into a POTS specialist ASAP. If I wouldn't have wasted my time with Dr. Loria I probably could already been into see a specialist. Now I have to wait another month to see a specialist and I can't work with fainting almost every day. Also this is the second time woodwinds Hospital/ clinics have misdiagnosed me with a huge and serious condition. Last summer 2020 they did something similar. I almost went blind and died because they didn't catch my brain and eye issues when I was pushing for more tests and answers. Stay away from this doctor and this clinic / Hospital.
