Winona Health - Urgent Care

A member in the family was having a medical issue, we took them to urgent care and the provider was Virginia. Virginia didn't even knock on the door, just came in, said the patients name, said her name, didn't say her title or anything. She sounded VERY condescending and seemed annoyed that we were even there. It's not hard to knock on a door before entering (which they're required to do), be kind, be compassionate, and act like we are important. Never ever going back. Gunderson or Mayo will be worth the drive.

I had to go to Urgent Care recently and was very pleased with my experience.. I was seen by Lynsey Laxton, PA-C. She was wonderful! She was pleasant, thorough and listened to my issue before beginning her exam. I felt comfortable and cared for! She called me later in the day to go over my labs, give medication instructions and answer any questions I had about my treatment plan. I highly recommend Winona Health Urgent Care to others and want to extend a thank you to Dr Lynsey for the excellent care provided.

They were able to see me in just 20 minutes. Receptionist and nurse were both very personable and thorough. The nurse practitioner that treated me was also thorough and caring. She took the necessary time to listen. She provided two prescriptions that sounded correct. Not enough time yet to determine if they are effective. I would definitely go there again.

The intake nurse was great and made me feel at ease. The doctor fully understood my medical issue and ordered the correct test. Radiology staff were very personable and professional. I am confident in the advice and treatment I received.

I was having an "outer ear infection". So, I went in the morning after Thanksgiving. Bright and early. Everyone was in a good mood and eager to help me with my situation. Even though I was only down visiting my In-Laws and had not ever been in the building before then. The receptionist/Medical Triage Nurse at the intake desk could see the pain I was in & currently experiencing, so she tried to make my "intake paperwork" go as smooth & as quickly as possible. Truly, Truly appreciated that. Then when The Nurse came out to call my name & bring me back to the examination room that I was going to be in.... she was polite, funny & knowledgeable. Also, down to earth & friendly! She also went above board to make me feel welcomed and that I am/was cared about/for while I was in their Company. She was very precise & accurate with her questions & answers. She was also very efficient and quick to let the Doctor know everything that was ailing me, so when he came in we could jump right to the "problem at hand". It was very refreshing and nice! Also, my Outer Ear infection was something of a "Rarity" that my specific Doctor hadn't seen a lot of yet in his career. So, he asked me if I didn't mind having one of his Colleagues come in and verify for the both of Us that it was indeed Fungal. So that way I knew for sure what was happening with my body and for two that he would know for certain what type of Perscription to prescribe for me. So, my experience here at Winona Urgent Care inside the Winona Hospital was great! I would definitely say that if you are in the area and you are experiencing a Medical issue/Emergency/situation and you are able to go to the Urgent Care Facility....I think you will be very pleased with your choice.
