I had open heart surgery on February 22 for a Mitra valve repair and all I can say is greatful. Dr. Danielson is an amazing surgeon. He and his team handled my care wonderfully from the moment in the surgical suite when I (scared to death) started to cry and the amazing woman on my left side leaned over said we'll take good care of you and out I went, to the physical therapists that had me up walking around. The whole team was amazing and I would not hesitate to have them care for me! PS. Julian was right when he told me when I woke up I would feel like I was hit by a truck (if I hadn't known that I would have been panicked) but he was right it passed FAST. The ST. Cloud Cardiac clinic is wonderful and the hospital was wonderful I wouldn't hesitate to have them care for your struggling heart!

Hi, do not trust them, I went in for bypass leg surgery and was hoping for a good experience. Well after surgery I wasn't healing, swelling was brutal and I couldn't wait bear still after a couple days . I had 18 prior surgeries on different body parts and mind you swelling always went down after a couple days. They made it all about pain medication, I went into surgery misdiagnosed and had pain for other chronic disabilities and they siesed on that. Started to tapper me down while still in the hospital and then said they'll increase my oxycodne if get discharged. I agreed thinking I would at least get help with the pain while I kept getting, going to follow up appointments. Nope. The first persciption they messed up and o had to repeatedly call in, and they made it look like I was seeking the pain meds. And prior to surgery, I had an open talk with the surgeon about pain management. And hw agreed. My leg was still swollen and loss of feeling ,brown, blue, purple, 6 months post opt and they told everyone that I was healing. I too went to mayo and they where so classy and professional it was a shock. Instead of judging me are misguiding me. Honesty was a rewarding experience. Thank God for mayo clinic, I might not lose my leg now that I stuck up for myself and went to mayo. Please do your research. My doctor was aric wogsland . Beware. Swelling went down the day after mayo fixed it and this was 6 months after the original doctor said swelling is normal and you'll have to live with it. Thanks for reading. Again beware. I did hear tho some of the old timers doing surgery there are actually really good. I should of done my homework. Thanks

I had a SVT ablation and the Dr provided no follow up care and released me without any information. I work construction and was allowed to return to work 2 days later with no restrictions (I should have been on a lifting restriction for 1 to 2 weeks) . This has been hands down the worst care I have ever received. I ended up in the emergency room 2 days later. I call the Dr 2 weeks after surgery and was told She doesn't see patients. So I call the Cardiology side and they said I didn't have a heart condition. I just had a heart Procedure. I ended up gong to the Mayo Clinic they used my story as a example of what not to do. St cloud Vascular Center has a lot of improving to do. Also the Mayo was less expensive for 10x the care. I wont recommend anyone to go there. Please do your research and talk to people that have had procedures done there. They have very little follow through. Remember we have lots of amazing heart centers in MN this is not one of them. They simple don't care.

I can't say enough how much I appreciate these doctors and nurses here. If it wasn't for Dr. Harris from the emergency room finding problem with my heart, I wouldn't know how serious it would be if I kept being active and playing sports, it would've been worse! I've met a really nice doctors Dr. Dennis Peterson and Dr. Atoui who diagnosed me with WPW (Wolff-Parkinson-white syndrome) and did a ablation procedure, I was impressed how quick they found the problem, got it fixed and now I can move on with my daily activity more stronger than I was. The nurses in Telemetry unit and the observation unit were great! They made sure I was comfortable and if anything I needed, they were there. I've been admitted in this hospital 3 times this year and the doctors and nurses have not let me down!! This is by far the best hospital I've been to... other hospital in Florida has turned me away due to my insurance issues. CentraCare hospital... I can't thank you all enough! The only complaint I have is this hospital do need to fix their sign language interpreter situation, I honestly would have prefer a live person when in serious conditions. Coming back from surgery, my husband who is completely deaf has been waiting to know result... unfortunately the VRI were not working at the time but the doctor and nurse made sure he knew what's been going on. It would have made it a lot easier with a interpreter. Overall this is a great hospital, I'd definitely recommend anyone to come here!
