Patient
I am so pleased to write this review on Dr. Melby. I had a catheter ablation surgery two months ago, and the outcome has been almost euphoric of how great I feel. The words can't express how grateful I am for Dr. Melby's skill, talent and knowledge in his electrophysiology profession. He is simply amazing. I was a little bit of a more difficult patient in that my afib condition was persistent, and another EP specialist had already told me that although I was a candidate for the procedure, he recommended against it, and I should just stay on meds the rest of my life and live a very sedentary lifestyle, which seemed like a horrible choice to me, since I've always been very active and although a very positive person, it almost put me into a depression. Thankfully I found Dr. Melby through his partner Dr. Alex Campbell who visited me at the hospital when I was there for another condition, and Dr. Campbell highly recommended his esteemed colleague, and he was absolutely right. So thank you, thank you, thank you, Dr. Campbell and Dr. Melby. I'm so grateful and appreciative of the amazing work that you do and making huge differences in peoples' lives. I would recommend Dr. Melby without hesitation. He has made an enormous difference in my life, and I am back now to doing yoga, working out, and enjoying feeling outstanding energy! No more napping with the grandchilden, which I was doing almost daily. It was very scary going into the procedure, as the heart is sort of an important organ, but it turned out that I was out of the hospital the next day, and never experienced any pain, only a moderate tightness in my chest in taking a really deep breath, which disappeared within two days. I am participating with the Abbott Hospital/Minneapolis Heart Institute research program, and can't say enough about the care and follow through with their entire team. What a great organization! I absolutely love you all. My heart does also!
