Allina Health Mercy Women's Health Clinic

Had a hysterectomy and was told since I can't take Tylenol and ibuprofen, my pain afterwards would be managed. Continued to have pain for a week and a half. Gave me pain medicine only to last about 10 days post surgery. With my pharmacy backround for 20+ years, I'm the last one that would abuse medications. Not sure why I would even want to abuse them when they cause side effects that aren't real Pleasant. Spoke to a nurse about continued pain and doing everything advised(ice, heat, and rest). Provider said they would see me to check and make sure everything was healing but when they called back to inform me of that and I said I wanted to be seen, they told me they don't know if they can get me in sooner than my post op appointment that is still a month out. Very disappointed that I don't feel my pain or after care was managed or taken seriously at all. I work for a surgery center and if someone is having issues or pain, we see them same day, no questions! I feel like that is how a healthcare system is supposed run! If you don't have patients, you don't have a business.

Jennifer from the call center was the rudest person we have ever spoken with. Really terrible service - very impatient as we tried to describe what it was that we needed. The provider at the clinic and all other service that we have received at Allina Women's Health clinic had been impeccable, but her attitude really tarnished everything. She hanged up the phone on us as we were speaking and said the nurse should call instead. I hope there is better training of the support staff because patients really deserve better. I pray I could see how she documented that interaction. As a health care provider myself, it was appalling.

Dr. Gurchak is the most patient Dr I have ever ment and is very caring and understanding. She made sure we talked before moving on to my iud insertion and gave me complete honest. I would highly recommend her to anyone especially those who are in need of trauma informed care. The people who work with her are also incredibly and kind.

I would love to be seen here. But unfortunately my insurance is out of network. I understand that. I was told I could upload it to my chart. But I couldn't not find it where to upload it. I called the front desk and the financial place. No one knows where to upload it. It is so expensive out of pocket.

Please explain why the lab is no longer an option to Allina patients outside of women's health when my ALLINA OB/GYN ordered the labs.
