Manak Sood, MD, FACS, is board-certified in cardiothoracic surgery. Dr. Sood has authored a children's health storybook and is the editor of a textbook on robotic surgery. Dr. Sood presently serves as the head of Trinity Health IHA Medical Group Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery and is the director of the Center for Robotic Surgery at Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital. He is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Sood's clinical interests include robotic cardiac surgery, anti-arrhythmia procedures, and conventional bypass and valvular surgery. He is also a strong advocate for teaching young people about the dangers of smoking.

My mother received care from St. Joe's and Dr. Sood about 6 years ago. Great facility and incredible doctors. Mother needed a triple bypass, and they kept everyone updated and set our minds to ease. My mom is a retired RN and she even was impressed and happy with Dr. Sood.
