Kate Holtze, MD, is a board-certified cardiologist. She has clinical interests in cardiac imaging including cardiac MRI and echocardiography. In her personal time, Dr. Holtze enjoys running, fishing and attending University of Michigan football games with her family and friends.

I had a terrible experience with Dr. Holtz. She did not listen to my concerns with empathy and was extremely dismissive of my symptoms and blamed my chest pains on my recent weight loss without more explanation or exploration into any other causes of my symptoms, despite family history with heart disease. She did not leave me with any orders for tests, home instructions, or anything besides telling me to change my diet to plant based (despite me stating that I am a bariatric patient working with a dietician). I would highly recommend against seeing her as your cardiologist. Also- upon waiting for her to come in the room for the first time I overheard her and her medical staff talking openly about how the test I requested was stupid and how everyone thinks they need it. Extremely rude and dismissive and she even admitted that that's what they were talking about when she came in the room.
