Patient
I came to the hospital due to low SpO2 readings on my FDA-approved home pulse oximeter and severe chest pain. The waiting room was very dirty and disorganized, and I had to wait several hours before being seen. Once I was eventually moved to a room, the machines used to monitor my heart rate and oxygen saturation were not connected for most of my stay. This hospital demonstrated a lack of ethical and responsible care. It is not possible to accurately monitor oxygen levels or heart rate when the monitoring equipment is not connected. I requested a test where oxygen is measured during exertional because my symptoms worsen with physical activity, but this request was refused.
