J. Quen Dickey Jr., DO

I can't say enough about Dr. Dickey. He saved my life years ago when I was first sent to him by my PCP. He discovered a 1-in-a-million ventricular tachycardia problem and directed me to UofM for an RF ablation before they were common. He has taken excellent care of 4 other family members now, as well. He truly cares about his patients, has an excellent bedside manner. You will always see him, not a PA - he feels strongly about this. The home monitoring care my sister needed was extreme - he worked through it all with us so that we could keep track of all the stats to enable proper medication decisions at home - amazing. He stays on top of all doctors/medical offerings in the region, regardless of health care system, to ensure you have the best care if a referral will help.

Dr Dickey spent the time with me and he listened to my concerns. He's one of the finest doctors I ever had. He was through and very organized. To treat me with value and respect not a number was refreshing. If I could give him 10 stars I give him 10 stars. His staff is just as kind and funny and respectful as he is. The office is so clean and together. To have a doctor who actually cares for his patients is rare today. I left confident knowing I was in good hands.

My dad told dr dickie last summer something was wrong. He just upped his meds and sent him home. Finally, after weeks of severe chest pains, dad was scheduled for a heart cath but the paperwork was submitted improperly resulting in the procedure being delayed by over a week. When the catch was finally done it was discovered that dad needed bypass surgery but had to wait an additional 5 days to get medication out of his system. On the fourth day, he had a major heart attack and died. That week delay cost my dad his life. And not even so much as a sympathy card or flowers. Just the cost of business eh doc?

If I could leave zero stars I would. My father in law would say the same, except he passed away from sheer incompetence. I am not bitter because we lost a life too soon. I am just making sure there is awareness so that another family doesn't have to go through a completely unavoidable death. And to not even offer condolences is a class act.

After seeing cardiologist from Beaumont with no results I came and saw Dr. Dickie who has taken excellent care of my brother for many years. He got the ball rolling with trying to figure out what is going on with me in a matter of days I was scheduled for testing and a 30 day monitor. Front and back office staff are caring and professional and even made me smile during a very trying time for me medically. Cant say enough except thank you.
