First the office is clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about their job. Always ready to assist with whatever they can.Dr. Keith Johnstone is the best. He reviews with you your results where you can really understand. He makes you feel very comfortable because of his longevity in cardiology. I feel my heart and well being is always his #1 priority.

I visited Dr. Johnstone again for a follow up from various test he had me do. I'm preparing for surgery. I must say I received a complete explanation of what the test were why they were taken and the results. I am very impressed with his ability to engage with me as his patient. My first review was not favorable because I felt I had to wait too long to be seen. But I must say things were completely different these last two visits. Thank you doctor for being there for me. I have changed my mind. My questions are answered. Keep up the good work. Thank you for being personable

Dr. Johnston is a very good Doctor. He take his time, and make sure you understand what's going on with your problem. I recommend my mother to him, that how much confidence I have in him. He treated her like she was his own mother.

Due to medical privacy laws and policies, we will not discuss specific patient information. However, the response below will clarify this reviewer's remarks. First, Dr. Johnstone is only on staff at one hospital in Novi and he has not performed any cardiac procedures at that hospital since February 2012 and yet this post was written in late 2017. Most importantly, at that time, this particular hospital in Novi did not have facilities to perform stents. So, the reviewer says he was scheduled for a stent procedure at a hospital that did not do the procedure he claims he was scheduled to undergo. THEREFORE, THIS ENTIRE REVIEW IS BASED ON A STENT THE REVIEWER CLAIMS DR. JOHNSTONE SCHEDULED HIM FOR AT A HOSPITAL THAT DID NOT EVEN DO STENTS! Second, the reviewer says that he was told during an office visit that he needed a stent. However, as our patients can tell you, if a patient has an abnormal stress test, the next course of action considered is a cardiac catherization. The films from the catherization are used to diagnose the heart and are reviewed for next steps. Then and only then would Dr. Johnstone be in a position to advise a patient whether a stent is actually needed. The Novi hospital does cardiac catherizations, yet the reviewer states that he was given a cardiac catherization at the Cleveland Clinic -- the very procedure that was available at the Novi hospital. THEREFORE, THE REVIEWER GOT THE SAME PROCEDURE IN CLEVELAND THAT DR. JOHNSTONE RECOMMENDS TO HIS PATIENTS (WHEN MEDICALLY NECESSARY AND APPROPRIATE) AND WAS AVAILABLE IN NOVI. Third, the reviewer says that our office refused to give him his X-rays and that we said our machine was broken. First, we do not have an X-ray machine in our office. Second, if the reviewer is talking about a stress test, they are done by an outside company and stress test results are kept online, so there could not have been a broken machine at issue. Third, the reviewer makes claims about unnecessary operations. Dr. Johnstone is NOT a surgeon and does not perform operations on patients (only procedures such as catherizations and stents based upon medical necessity and the results of clinical information and subsequent test results). THEREFORE, THIS REVIEW CONTAINS NUMEROUS INCONSISTENCIES AND INCORRECT INFORMATION. We invite prospective patients to come to our office and judge for themselves. We can show you the multiple letters of appreciation from patients, and can discuss that special group who will tell you that if Dr Johnstone had not discovered their heart problem, they would not be alive today.
