Dr. Dixon is an excellent cardiologist who took the time to talk with me about my genetic heart disease. He explained in detail why I needed the bypass for longevity. I was most impressed that he took the time to inform me about the possibility that my beloved daughters could have the same problem. I would have not thought to consider the possibility of their having genetic heart disease.
Dr. Dixon was recommended to my mother by Henry ford Cardiology to perform a procedure that very few people were able to do. Dr. Dixon did the procedure and remained my mothers' cardiologist for years. He is now my personal cardiologist that I use for routine checkups since heart conditions run in my family. His disposition makes you relax and feel that you can actually tell him the truth about whats' going on with you physically :-). I highly recommend Dr. Dixon ............
Dr. Simon Dixon is the epitome of professionalism. He has been my cardiologist for 5 years when I was diagnosed with a very special problem. In every visit to his office, Dr. Dixon takes the time to explain the status of my condition and to answer every question I have in a polite, patient manner. His office seems to hire the best graduates for residency. Following their evaluations, I have witnessed Dr. Dixon question their methodology and conclusions, and to pursue with quiet polite questioning the logic behind the resident's conclusions. He would be a great teacher as well. My family also had experience with his partner, Dr. Safian, who we regard as a 'miracle worker', having extended the life of my mother in law for 5 years after other doctors in another practice had recommended hospice. The professionalism, courtesy and friendliness exhibited by Dr. Dixon and Dr. Safian extends to the entire staff. I have never had a disappointing experience. This office is the reason I chose the Beaumont system for my complete care.
He ignored my wife's serious heart condition with serious blockages saying (surgery would be difficult, but I am not saying it can't be done) instead put here on medication that would not help. So she could not breathe, had blue tinged lips and severely low blood pressure which helped lead her into death. I believe this man cherry picks the easier jobs and abandon s difficult jobs. She died before she could get treatment from another surgeon.

Why would you post this to a doctor's review that has nothing to do with the article. Dr. Dixon has participated in literally hundreds of cardiovascular research. He is the top in his field and one of few cardiologist in southeast michigan that can perform a CTO procedure. Please stop giving bad reviews simply because.
