Dr Cami is patient in discussion of questions and concerns. I had to wait much longer than usual for him... about an hour...scheduling problem or a crisis came up I guess.
If you suspect that you have any form of dysautonomia, this is probably not the right doctor for you. When I told him during our visit that I think I have pots, he proceeded to tell me what it stood for as if I didn't know what it meant. Additionally he seemingly didn't want to support me in getting a disability placard, even though I shared with him that I have shortness of breath. I saw this man sometime in January and I was not due to speak to him again until sometime in April. Im not sure why any doctor who is familiar with that condition would think that somebody can wait that long, but I was not going to. Additionally, I requested a tilt table test, which would rule out or confirm pots, which he did not want to order. I just wasn't happy with the lack of appropriate testing. I'm glad I followed my gut and went elsewhere which confirmed that I do indeed have pots. Next time, please take into account with the patient is telling you because they are indeed the expert when it comes to their body. By not doing so you are delaying their care. Also, the staff needs to make sure that they are not speaking to the patient as if they are stupid. Thanks!
Dr Cami office was excellent ... scheduling, communication and professional. Dr Cami was prompt, clear and thorough. It was my first visit and I'm pleased with the referral to him.
