Trinity Health Medical Group, Primary Care - Muskegon Campus

The doctor I had was usually great but it is completely outweighed by the office staff. I'm not sure what is going on here but these people have some sort of power trip they are on and if the patient suffers in the meantime they couldn't care less. You will wait in the lobby for like 15 minutes before checking in while they sit around socializing and you can hear the phone ringing constantly with no one answering it. How anyone is still employed doing as little as they do is just baffling.

Usually my doctor listens to me and takes my ideas into consideration. I have been having hypertension, and I asked to be put on a medication to treat it. My doctor took my blood pressure, it was high. My doctor stated "your blood pressure is normal right now there is no need to put you on a medication". When I looked back at my visit closer I saw that my blood pressure was high. My doctor didn't tell me what the pressure was just that it was "normal". I work in medicine so I thought that my doctor would continue to listen to my concerns. I actually found a new doctor who listens to me, and doesn't take advantage of me. I had to pay for a doctor to tell me "you don't have high blood pressure" even though I know from my pressure readings, my blood pressure had been high for months. I'm not sure if my doctor didn't look back at my pressures or genuinely didn't care. I'm very saddened by my experience there, I really loved my doctor, but I care more for my health than my relationship with my doctor.

I usually love my doctor but they had me see someone else after a recent hospital stay because he was unavailable for awhile. I was seriously injured in my accident and had spent a month in the hospital and Mary free bed learning how to walk again. I was told to contact my primary doctor after I got home to get a refill on my pain meds before going to a pain clinic. This doctor took one look at me and told me I was already addicted to the pain meds so she wouldn't give me anymore. Then she proceeded to tell me "you'll always be in pain i can't help you there" i was in so much pain the following days all i could do was scream in pain. One of my neighbors actually called the cops and they came to make sure someone wasn't hurting me. As I type this I am still fighting with them to give me the script I need in order to go to the pain clinic.

Although the physicians and PAs are very good, some of the front office staff are rude, and unhelpful. Honestly they act like they are doing you a favor by allowing you to get treated. Edit* They seemed to have improved over the last 6 months, definitely more positive experience.

I am new to the area and was looking high and low for a PCP. I wanted someone who would spend actual time with me and not make me feel rushed. I saw Dr. Wass and he was very thorough and respectful to my many questions. I have quite a bit of anxiety going to the doctors office and he and his staff made me feel comfortable. Thank you for the time and good service.
