Thought I was having kidney stones. Turns out it was my appendix. I was very nervous to stay and have surgery, but everything went well. Every staff member was extremely kind. Chyanne in the ER really did such a great job calming my anxiety. She is just the best nurse. I wish I could recall every name. Dr Sauerbeck performed the surgery and did a fantastic job. GC is very blessed to have staff like Chyanne and Dr Sauerbeck. All of the 1st floor nursing staff were incredibly nice on my unit. And shout out to Dr Attis in the Er as well for assuring me that, I could not, in fact, walk off a bad appendix . Hussein (? Bigger guy in surgery squad) was an absolute Saint as well. He had to calm my nerves before surgery. I wouldn't hesitate to call on them again if I were in need.

I was yet again reminded why Garden City hospital will remain a "last resort" hospital. My son had second degree burns on both of his legs, so naturally we ran him to the ER. Obviously he was in agony because they went down both of his legs. Not only were we put into some back room, but the wait time was unacceptable. We had to wait for over an hour just for the nurse to come in and ask if the doctor had come to see us. Two minutes after she checked on us, the doctor finally came in. While her information was informative, it was about as helpful to the situation as a hole in the head. Then another 20 minutes went by after she left before the nurse came back in to put the medication on and wrap his legs. I have never seen anyone wrap anything the way this was done. One leg had two pieces of self-adhesive wrap and the other had three. The gauze was regular gauze, not the non-stick gauze that should have been used. It was far too tight and was digging into the back of his legs by the time we were back home. It had rolled over and stuck to itself and was an absolute nightmare to change. The best part, though, was even after all of this, he wasnt given any pain meds and we were given someone else's discharge papers!!!! We were given no aftercare instructions whatsoever and there isn't any on his discharge papers either, so it's a good thing I have a background in the medical field and know what to do.
This hospital has become an absolute bottom tier facility. I wouldn't send a pet rock here.

I am going to recommend this place to everyone!!! If you have any emergency please go here. I thought I had kidney stones I was in a large amount of pain. Ended up being a UTI. I will be 3 years sober from heroin in January so I explained how I did not want any narcotics under any circumstance for the pain. They hooked me up to a line for IV fluids, IV antibiotics. Took some blood work. Got an xray to rule anything else out. The process was smooth, the atmosphere was calm and quiet; no waiting in a waiting room for hours like at the large ED at hospitals. The doctor was personable, kind and efficient. The nurse staff was also so amazing. Very impressed!

If you have loved one's or you are ill AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. This is the most disgusting ER I have ever seen. The most incompetent Dr's and they lie bad. As an RN I'd rather be taken to my grave then ever send someone here. They are not equipped at all!! I don't even understand how they take trauma calls. Definitely reported yo the state. The only possible thing I can say is nice job nurse's. I had to give 1 star or couldn't post. I'm still in shock
