Hameem Changezi MD

My 18 year old daughter was referred to Dr. Changezi by our primary after reviewing her report from an at home monitoring. We were scheduled in for an appointment quickly, the wait to be seen in office upon arrival was minimal. All staff were friendly and worked efficiently. Dr. Changezi was very personable, he spoke to my daughter like an adult and did not dismiss her concerns or make her feel "stupid". He reviewed her reports, did a full cardiac auscultation and made a plan for next steps. He explained everything in a manner that was easy for her to understand. Even though we don't have answers leaving, we have next steps - which is more than we have had over the last 5 years.

Dr. Changezi has been my cardiologist since 2005. I was sad when he left. I was so glad he came back to McClaren. He pretty much saved my life by getting me in for Open heart surgery in 2018. He really does have a great personality once he gets to know you, and he is right to the point about your heart problems and what he can do or recommend someone who does.

I first met Dr. Changezi in the ER at McLaren. He was very kind and completely explained everything that I was going through. I had my first office visit with him and he again took time to reassure me and completely explain my next steps in my healing process. I sincerely appreciate Dr. Changezi and his office staff at Progressive Cardiology.

I love my Heart surgeon. Dr Changezi and his staff saved my life.

If I could score this lower I would. My mother had a stroke 2 years ago and Dr. Changezi saw her in the hospital. After her release she was experiencing a lot of dizziness and blood pressure issues. After being referred back to Dr. Changezi by her primary care doctor, and visits to a neurologist and ENT. She asked Dr Changezi a simple question "When will all of this get better?" His response was "probably when the casket closes". We were shocked. He played it off as making light of the situation. But it was very unprofessional. We had heard wonderful things about him as a doctor and understand everyone has different experiences. I have found this a lot in dealing with doctors and older patients, mostly passing the buck and not really trying to help the patient.
