I did not care for Dr. Thabolingam at all. Every step of the way of me telling him my medical history, according to him the Corewell ER doctors gave me the wrong medication to bring down my blood pressure during an unexpected ER visit and the pulmonologist diagnosed me incorrectly after extensive care and two CT Scans based on his educational research. Excuse me sir. Aren't you an internest? You're questioning the entire pulmonary team at the Corewell Lung and Sleep Clinic because it didn't gel with what you've read? He then spent 10 minutes trying to find my colonoscopy information as though I didn't actually have it done, stating he needed to know when I needed another one. It was a clean scan and it was my understanding that I likely would not need another one, and if I did, I think they said 10-15 years. He's going on and on about how many polyps and how many years to follow up and did I know the doctor that performed it? Sir. It was a diagnostic referral from 6 years ago. I do not, but will have to get back to you on that. At this point, I'm ready to get into the reason for my visit which was high blood pressure readings, but after all of the opposition and my explaining to him that I do not cook, his solution was for me to start to cook. So, at this point, I guess I am going to be another black woman who is not going to change her lifestyle, but that wasn't it at all. At this point, I'm just ready to leave and find another doctor. Lastly, as I am walking out the door, I showed him my Corewell Chart notes from my pulmonary visit and CT scan and he finally understood what the pulmonologist finding were. He said, "It was bronchiolitis and not bronchitis, that's two different things." A discerning physician would have put two and two together, rather than pulling up his documentation on why I was wrong. I am an educated woman with a post graduate degree as an Education Specialist. He was constantly trying to prove that he was the smartest person in the room, competing with the doctors at Corewell. He did ask early in the visit why I chose him. Honestly, you were the first available appointment close to my house, so I took it. Not even the top 5 on my list and I needed to get my blood pressure under control. I have now secured a Corewell doctor who will be able to read my chart from others at Corewell and truly coordinate my care. I left this visit heated and knew I wouldn't be returning. Lastly, Doc. Due to your size and the small room, it's definitely not a good look to back yourself up in front of the door with your chair and table as you talk to female patients. Someone with less assuredness or possible trauma could have felt extremely threatened or intimidated by the situation. In closing, I hope with my new physician, I am able to go over a feasible eating and exercise plan in addition to any medication I am required to take. After the battle of the medical information, I did not even feel there was room to discuss any of this. I took my script to get me started and found another physician in less than 24 hours. I am hoping that the next doctor is a better fit.

Always a good experience. He listens and he does everything in his power to not have you taking medication. Offers great suggestions. He wants what's best for his patients. You won't be disappointed. He has compassion for his patients. It's time to ditch your doctor and come to him. Frfr
