After deciding a couple years back that we were NEVER going to Henry Ford ER again, I brought my partner here after a bad fall on some ice. Our assigned nurse was a woman named Katie. I couldn't fit how amazing she is, in this review. She was funny, professional, clearly loves her job and works hard for the patients in her charge. We even had a student do some pretty nice stitching (gotta practice somewhere!) And he was also cordial, and professional. Our overall 2.5 hour total visit, was exceptional! The Corewell Urgent care next door is already Our go to.. this ER is our new go to for more extreme cases. Thank you to the whole team we interacted with.. just a wonderful all around experience, given the circumstances!

I have spoken to patient relations and a formal complaint is filed, but I want to share our experience. My mother went to the ED. She was confused and had difficulty with word finding. No one called to notify her next of kin that she was in the ED. I received a call to pick her up and that she would be waiting for me in the lobby... after dark. I was told "everything is ok". When i called my mother, she was unable to tell me what hospital she was at or the tests or results that had been disclosed. When I asked to speak to the physician, I was told that I needed to take my mother to a neurologist because she has early onset dementia or Alzheimer's. They did not disclose that her CT showed a stroke that was new compared to a CT in the spring. They told our family that everything was "fine". When I contested, she ended spending the night... and then another night. She had an MRI, carotid ultrasound and an ECHO. Her stroke was an acute stroke (per the MIND neuro team)- the ED resident "interpreted it as a subacute stroke". This is our second "strike" with Corewell Farmington. Dr. Elena Bulakhtina was more interested in throughput of the ED than caring for an acute change in my mother. She decided to say there were no LARGE VESSEL changes, but did not disclose the new stroke in my mother's deep brain over the phone. Our family is shocked and dismayed by the care that my mother has received from this organization. Twice, the ED chose not to consult the correct experts and allowed residents to make critical clinical decisions. Twice, my mother has spent extended time at the hospital. We will NOT be using this facility at any point in the future. Her "plan in the can" now says to go to Trinity Health Livonia and to call her children. No older adult should have to navigate the emergency room alone. That's why we have emergency contacts built into cell phones. Shame on you, Corewell.

Ive seen many bad reviews for this ER so I wanted to leave a good one. I have had to go to this ER many times over the last year for my heart. Every time I've been there, I've always gotten great care. They immediately take me back and get me into a room, and I'm usually in and out within 3-4 hours. All of the staff have been extremely nice and I haven't had a single bad experience. I've even had to bring my mother in law here because she was presenting with stoke symptoms. They acted very quickly and took her right from triage to ct. they wasted no time. I fully trust them with our care.

I recently had an outpatient surgical procedure here and I am so happy with the quality of care I received. From the kind check-in workers to my pre- and post-op nurses (especially Nurse Judy!) I was very well taken care of! I was incredibly anxious before my surgery and every member of the staff I interacted with was so warm and caring and helped ease my fears! No one wants to have to have surgery, but the entire surgical team here made it such a comfortable experience for me!
