First of all I would like to say Dr. Sweterlitsch himself is a fabulous Dr he has been nothing short of amazing to my mother in past cases and her present one. He takes his time and explains things really well. For him I would give 5 stars without hesitation. His staff is the reason for the less than par review. His staff especially his front desk receptionists leave A LOT to be desired. My mother had called several times since she had a second opinion from Henry Ford from the Dr himself (take note: a second opinion from Sweterlitsch means a REFERRAL). After hearing nothing for a week and a half my mother called to see what was going on and his staff was rude, snippy, and condescending to say the least. They constantly put the blame on the patient and took no responsibility on themselves after repeated calls and an office visit I am disgusted with his staff and will not go out of my way to promote this office ESPECIALLY it's staff anytime soon. It's such a shame because Dr. Sweterlitsch himself is a wonderful Dr and I wish there was a way to communicate with him directly rather than go through his degrading personnel they call staff.

All I can say is Dr. Swterilitsch is the best Heart Doctor around. He's taken care of me for the past 9 years and I can't say enough good things he's has done for me. I have since move and trying to find another heart doctor and finding nearly impossible to find someone like him! 10+

If I could less than 1 star, I would. My mother had seen this man for years. Whenever she thought she was smarter than her physicians by reading the internet, she would ask for med changes. He would shrug his shoulders and say 'Yeah, we can try that'. Instead of saying, I am the cardiologist and you are stable now, we should not mess around. His final CAVE to her will was prescribing a medication that reacted with her other meds. Frequent calls regarding her distress and clinical symptoms at home were followed up with increasing the ned in question, without seeing her in the office. A full week later in great distress, I took her to the Emergency Room. ONE MONTH later of his incompetence...and trying to re-prescibe the dangerous med (against many other MD's input), she passed away. My mother died in McLaren from many physicians writing her off as old and complicated but NOT 1 of her medical issues alone would have caused her death. He started the ball rolling then pushed her into her grave. We fired him 3 1/2 weeks into her hospitalization but it was too late. Medical malpractice law is slanted in such a way that 3 attorneys said he was at fault but it would never come to anything in court. Have your life insurance in place!

Wouldn't take my sick dog to him. Run, do not walk to someone else.
