This man saved my life and I'll be forever grateful to be blessed enough to have him as a heart surgeon! Not only did my open heart surgery that he did hardly leave and scar, but he also personally came to check on me in the hospital and wish me well after 2 months in the hospital from unrelated issues, the day before I left and informed me of what to expect next such as starting regular cardiology appointments, etc. He's a very kind and gentle person and you should feel lucky to have him do your operation or be your cardiologist because I know I do! I'm a traveler that works in Cardiac surgery. I took travel positions in MI solely for the purpose to find an excellent heart surgeon in case if I wasn't home, and one of my parents needed heart surgery while away. The dreaded day came when I was across the world. Dr. Terasaki is one of the most kind, and talented heart surgeons I have ever encountered at work. So I sent my dad to him (hour and a half away), and he was treated with the upmost of care. His decision making and what and how he does things is unbeatable. My dad was extremely scared as well, and he made him feel like family but also very open and honest with him at the same time. Post op care was scary, (not familiar,) but he reassured us on everything along with the team and always open communication with explanations of which my parents can understand. Highly, highly recommend him, and I am very critical of cardiac surgeons.
