Dr. James R Martin is in the business of repairing and fixing heart issues. What makes him superior in his field is that he has a heart. He takes the time to answer all patient and their family members questions. He goes to great lengths to make sure all information he's articulating to patients and their families is being understood. He identifies that patient and family are overwhelmed and tries to ease the process for them. He's bold and direct while maintaining human compassion. I received treatment at Saint John's Detroit. I have nothing but high reviews for the nursing staff, diagnostic personnel, food service personnel, clergyman staff, and cardiovascular group. They were all very professional and kind. His office staff were every helpful filling out family leave paper work which was greatly appreciated. I can not begin to thank Dr Martin for repairing my heart and returning me home to my family. I will be forever singing his praises.

Dr. Martin is a fantastic surgeon and physician. He made my cancer diagnosis bearable, and he is still the doctor I trust to tell me how things actually are and to give me all my options. He performed surgery on me three times, and each time he, and his team, did everything in their power to make me feel cared for and confident in my care.
