Dr Abdul-Malek takes care of my elderly mother with great care and warmth. Could not recommend him more highly. Absolutely one of the best medical professionals I've ever met. Sometimes running late for appointments, but it is because he takes time with each person, so we do not mind.
My mother went to ER for chest pain & numbness. ER dr ordered tests which came back normal. Dr. Abdul-Malek continued to ask my mom questions--even as she was getting discharged. Through his final physical exam, he noticed a difference in the pulses of her upper extremities prompting him to check blood pressure in both arms. He explained that there was a substantial difference in the blood pressures--enough that he ordered a CT scan. That's when he realized that there is a blockage in her left artery. This wasn't reflected by any tests. He also found an incidental aortic aneurysm which could be dangerous if not carefully followed. My family and I wanted to thank Dr. Abdul-Malek for not only taking the time to listen to my mothers complaints, but for being a compassionate doctor. Because of the extra time, care and attention he provided my mother, we can now take action that could definitely prevent her from suffering from cardiac complications in the future.
Dr Malek is an amazing doctor , both my brothers and mom go to him . He is extremely caring and takes his time to listen to the patient's need . He goes out of his way for his patient and is always a phone call away. The staff also is very nice and professional ! I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a caring doctor!

I had a friend visit this doctor for scheduled tests and scans, only for them to get told it was all weight and they needed to watch their weight/try weight watchers/work-out. How can a doctor completely disregard symptoms as only weight and not seek further explanations? Not all bodies are the same.
