Patient
Dr Gulati was polite during the consultation. But while going over my medication list, as soon as he saw I was being treated for anxiety (honestly, who ISN'T these days) and that is when he decided upon my diagnosis. I told him that my mental health provider was sure my symptoms were not psychosomatic. And ruled out any side effects from mental health medications. Dr. Gulati would not listen to me!! He told me it was all in my head, then he said I have to stop taking my mental health medication. I didn't even get to finish telling him about my symptoms!! He said I could do an echocardiogram and halter monitor, but he said "we are not going to find anything, you are healthy". I went to a different cardiologist, got a diagnosis, and are being treated. I wonder if Dr. Gulati would tell a male patient that his symptoms were all in his head?
