Dr. Matthew Prince is an orthopedic surgeon who completed a fellowship in sports medicine at Mayo Clinic. He is trained to provide complete musculoskeletal system care, and he specializes in arthroscopic (minimally invasive) surgery of the knee, hip, and shoulder. Dr. Prince is able to order diagnostic testing as necessary (ultrasound, cat scan, MRI, x-ray). In addition, The Center for Advanced Orthopedics has a physical and occupational therapy department on-site for patient care. Dr. Prince has surgical privileges at Ascension Hospital-Rochester (Crittenton), Michigan Institute for Advanced Surgery, Beaumont Hospital (Troy), and McLaren Oakland Hospital.

October 30, 2025 will be 1 year anniversary for my total right knee replacement. Dr Matthew Prince is my surgeon... I still can not believe what an amazing experience this has been. As soon as my feet hit the floor after surgery the bone pain was gone, 4 days post surgery my range of motion was 119. Tissue was sore but there was no pain. I stand all day for my job and had let it go too long. Dr Matthew Prince is brilliantly skilled, tells you exactly how it is... I can not say his praises loud enough along with his therapists and staff. 5 1/2 weeks later I was standing behind my chair at work starting back slow. I have no complains, we are blessed to have a doctor with his incredible skill and talent...Thank you for everything!!

My surgeries with Dr Matthew Price were all phenomenal. I have had three replacement surgeries in a year and a half and they were all very successful.
Prior to surgery. I received written instructions to inform me how to prepare for surgery, the medications to pick up at the pharmacy, medications to stop before surgery, the Home Care Team providing services for the two weeks after surgery, and the Company that would supply equipment to improve the recovery process.
With the equipment used and the medications taken, my recovery was virtually painless.
All the therapists were surprised at the range of motion that I had after surgery and commented my recovery was ahead of schedule.
Dr Prince called me two days after surgery to check on my condition and see if I was experiencing any difficulties. He was happy to hear my results.
I was able to walk two days after surgery with a walker, with a cane four days after, and able to drive two weeks after surgery.
