Mary T. Schwartz, MD

Dr. Schwartz combines thoroughness with caring. She is an exceptional primary care doctor. Using the Pentucket Patient Gateway I communicate my issues with Dr. Schwartz. If she sees anything that she thinks is of concern she will have me schedule an appointment. I have seen her several times during the COVID-19 pandemic. She always does a careful analysis of my issue and orders tests if necessary. She prescribes medication for the problem if appropriate. I highly recommend Dr. Schwartz - she is easy to talk to, sympathetic, practical and careful. I think she is exceptional.

I have always been a person who would stress for days before a Doctors Appointment as I always felt uncomfortable and an anxious about going. After many years I have found a place that I do not experience those old feeling. I absolutely love my Doctor ,Mary Schwartz. She is comforting, she listens, she compassionate, caring and I feel she is providing me with the best of health care. I cannot say enough about her and the rest oof the staff, they are the best.

Dr. Mary Schwartz is a wonderful person, intelligent , knowledgeable physician who meets her patient's needs. She uses her time efficiently and makes the patient feel that her medical issues have been addressed with all questions answered, medications reviewed and future testing discussed and scheduled. It is a pleasure to have her as my Primary Care Physician.

Dr. Schwartz is a thoughtful, knowledgeable, and experienced practitioner. Adding to her skillet is the kind of bedside manner and personal attention we, as patients, crave. Even if the office is running late, Dr. Schwartz never attends to you in a hurried manner. She takes her time with her patients and seems to remember (or has strategically logged) personal details that build doctor-patient connection and that helps inform her assessment of patient care. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful and patient. If there was an area that needed shoring up, it's the facilities. During my recent visits (during pandemic), the rooms are cramped, computer trays wobbly (wheel actually fell off one during conversation), signage outdated, lighting in waiting area dim, no signs or personnel in waiting area to greet/inform of what's next (picture entering dimly lit room with offshoot hallways/rooms, empty chairs, and no sign that you're in the right place, and no-one confirming who you are/who you're here to see...very Stanley Kubrick). Aside from facilities/signage, this is a great team with access and connections to specialists, labs and secure data sharing.

All staff very respectful and Dr Schwartz is invested in the welfare of her patients. I have never had a negative experience at her office in Georgetown or Newburyport and I have had her as my PCP for many years. I will be forever grateful that she found my cancerous breast lump on exam and immediately acted on an appropriate course of consults & tests.
