Charles River Medical Associates

I've been going to CR for 15+ years and this year it literally hit the iceberg and is sinking. They have far too many patients for the office to handle-and not enough staff to even operate the front desk phone in a professional manner.. My appointments have been canceled on me- the last refit of meds they couldn't even send to the right pharmacy. As soon as you call them out on what they're doing they immediately act defensive. I was sad to leave until A final appointment and to my surprise, they decided to just cancel it. Avoid the hassle, I'm sure there are a lot of other Charles River location with more capability to handle their patient numbers and face-to-face interaction with professionalism and kindness.

I never write reviews but after the last few weeks ive had with them I must say something. It's absolutely horrible and disgusting to play with people's health and time the way they do. They accepted me as a patient then out of the blue decided they no longer took my insurance. I was completely blindsided left with with having to immediately find a new PCP because they refused to fill my prescriptions, and the ones they did fill were completely wrong (thanks Alicia). Save yourself the trouble.

I don't write many reviews but feel strongly about sharing my overall positive experience with the Marlborough office, and don't know a better way to express my gratitude. My family and I have visited for years and have consistently found the administrative and medical staff to be genuinely friendly, attentive, and highly professional. Our many questions and requests are always responded to within 24 hours (often going above and beyond to provide help), appointments are easy to schedule & reschedule, and we are never kept waiting. I couldn't be more grateful for the level of care and attention given to my family and me, and I would recommend the Marlborough office to anyone looking for the same. Thank you!!

After a few wonderful visits with a NP who must have realized she would be more valued elsewhere, I unfortunately have to say my experience with Charles River has been overall negative. The issues truly started when an appointment I had was cancelled with no notice and no reschedule. I went up until the day of the appointment assuming I still had it, until I called them to double-check (after noticing it missing on mychart). No notice, no phone call, no new appointment. They just outright cancelled it and seemed to be confused by my discontent. Then once I finally got in, the receptionist told me they don't take my insurance anymore. After some deliberation in the back, they told me they could take me today but that I needed to find another PCP within a year. Since then they've been quite reluctant to take my medical concerns seriously... Honestly, my former NP was most of the reason I went here, so with her gone & my insurance not even being accepted any longer, I guess it's not a huge loss.

NP Katelyn (Marlborough) has helped to improve my health more than any physician has in years. I highly recommend her. Katelyn actually takes the time to listen, follows up promptly and truly cares about her patients (she won't make you feel rushed).
