Patient
Dr. Alphonso is great. A good and caring physician. But the infrastructure supporting him is so dysfunctional that it makes it very hard to remain a patient. 1. Phone contact: they rarely pick up the phone. ...return calls are always late. 2. Confirming reminders: send you to either the wrong place or for the wrong reason, i.e. blood draws in North Falmouth where they say I have an appointment with Dr. Alphonso.(He's in South Yarmout). 3. I leave messages that need to be returned same day in the morning (and I state that) , never getting a return call for an alleged appt. Monday AM (message left Fri am and didnt get a call back until AFTER appt. with the excuse appointment setter simply "wasn't in on Friday". I was given emails of Nurses to contact if I needed to be seen right away. I emailed and didn't get any response. When I checked with them at next appointment three weeks later, the Nurse confirmed on her screen she got an email but never opened it. Same types of things happened with my previous primary care. (Took three months to diagnose a deadly brain tumor. Nurses were lax in getting back causing me to lose use of my left leg.)The culture of medical support staff MUST change. I am terminally ill now and need help when I need it and not from ER. Hang in there Dr. Alphonso. Hopefully CC Healthcare and Medical Affiliates of CC will get their personnel act together. No wonder people keep telling me if I want good quality, timely care, "go to Boaton." I remain hopeful there are medical support staff that will treat requests with the life-critical care it deserves in the future.
