Lown is the place that has the technical excellence and soul of medicine that was passed down from my physician and nurse parents. i spent years aspiring to be one and passing it on. as a physician and medical educator wannabee. now in my 80s as a "frequent flyer" of healthcare i feel like i am a connoiseur of fine doctoring and healthcare. Dr Joel Katz was the first person i called in the ambulance from the Munich airport to a cardiology hospital in extremis. he and Dr Adler from the Brigham was on my case every step of the way until I flew home in one piece and having dodged another "bullet." Never more than a call away, he has been there whenever i needed a guide, an expert, a honest humble trusted opinion that integrated my lived experiences, biases, feelings or update on our families. his team at Lown talk to one another and one feels like family and not on some AI, checklist treadmill. i often feel that it's better to be lucky than good but with Dr Katz and his Lown team I got both. in the spirit of continous improvement it would help people like me to have business cards on team members in addition to MDs. Maybe I missed them. Also I am Uber dependent now and the different 830 entrances need to be distinguished
