Dr. Amit Mittal, MD Heart Care of Maryland

We were able to get an appointment with Dr. Mittal on very short notice (within 24 hours), and we couldn't be more impressed. His bedside manner is outstanding: calm, caring, and attentive. He took the time not only to address my wife's immediate concerns but also to look at her overall health, offering thoughtful advice and a holistic approach to her care. By far one of the best medical experiences we've had. A++ Highly recommend!

First time with Dr.Mittal today and he was amazing!! caring, compassionate, thoughtful, gave a chance to speak and listen to my concerns regarding my husband. Called on Friday to make an appt and secretary got us right in on a Tuesday. Love this doctor already. I also like that he performs ekg on your first appt and has you follow up and retest every 6mo or as needed. Truly an amazing god sent doctor!! Peace and blessings. Best cardiologist I've met in my 32 years.

My father was a patient of Dr. Mittal last year. Dr. Mittal saw my father as a new patient within a day of us calling his office when he was aware of the issues that were occurring. We had previously called two other cardiologists who wouldn't see us for over a month. His prompt attention and ability to identify an issue was extremely appreciated. He was able to run a multitude of tests in the initial appointment and advise us on the best course of action. When my father entered the hospital, Dr. Mittal tirelessly advocated for him and continued communication with the family and primary care physician. It felt as if we had a doctor on our side in a healthcare system that feels cold and impersonal. The only regret we had was not having my father treated by Dr. Mittal earlier. He is a doctor that is to the point and seems to call things as he sees them.

I have seen Dr. Mittal multiple times. I was always able to get quick appts. I had been having issues for a while and was starting to get anxious about what was going on with my heart. While at an appt I got upset and he seemed to get frustrated with me...i wasnt upset about him at the time but how I was feeling and he brought me back in same day for testing which was great. Due to past history my neurologist wanted me to have a bubble echo..dr.mittal called to confirm. That wasn't something they did in his office so he was having his staff get me set up. I was told if I didn't hear anything within 2 weeks to call. I didn't hear anything so I called 3 different times and never heard back. I had to be set up with a different cardiologist so I could get this test which I was not happy about. But...come to find out I had 2 holes in my heart which I what had caused the stroke I had. I had to have cath closure with a device to close the holes. So I'm happy I had the test. I just wish I would have heard back from Dr. Mittals office.

Dr. Mittal saved my life. I walked into the exam room and all he had to do is look at me and he knew I needed life-saving treatment immediately. It turned out that I needed open heart surgery. I returned to Dr. Mittal to continue as my cardiologist and have never been disappointed. He knows which combination of medications works specifically for each patient's condition. Some friends go to him and their particular heart conditions are under control as mine is. It is obvious he is very knowledgeable, cares about each patient and treats us according to our individual needs.
