Dr. Shawl was truly exceptional. Before my father's surgery, he recommended a heart check as a precaution--and that decision saved my father's life. Despite having no symptoms or warning signs, the test revealed a 90% blockage. Thanks to Dr. Shawl's attentiveness and thorough care, we were able to catch it in time. He took the time to explain everything clearly, with a warm demeanor and a reassuring smile, making sure we fully understood each step. Dr. Shawl save my life. After my TVR procedure, he visited one morning to the ward and hold my hand and helped me to walk around the hallways to get some exercise. Five stars are not nearly enough, but for Dr. Shawl and his team, there would never be enough! They truly saved my life. My aortic stenosis had left almost no room for blood-flow in my body, so I had no energy at all. It had gotten to the point of desperation and I was terrified. Dr. Shawl is an incredible surgeon and he is aided by a remarkable team of doctors, nurses and a nurse practitioner. Everyone is friendly, comforting, well trained and efficient. The entire procedure, from the pre-op tests to the recovery time, runs unbelievably smoothly. I feel so lucky to have been cared for by Dr. Shawl and his amazing team. They have my undying gratitude. Absolutely best hospital experience ever (in 80 years)! From initial consultation with Dr. Shawl, through TAVR procedure and recovery, the team was an amazing God-send for me and my wife.
