This is the 2nd review I have left regarding Dr. Asser. My initial visit with him was a handful of years ago. I was having some real issues at that time with almost constant run away heart palpitations. I was beyond miserable. I couldn't sleep. I didn't know what was going on. My previous cardiologist had me on a specific medication for this which initially worked very well but over a period of time (years) was not at all effective and I had reached the maximum dosage. At that initial visit Dr. Asser was already completely familiar with my past history, heart monitor tests, etc. He told me that in his opinion I should never have been on the medication to begin with and he would not continue it. I was definitely not on board with this, however, after he patiently explained his reasoning, pointed out the side effects I was obviously experiencing and I considered my other options (zero), I was weaned off the drug. It took a while for me to start feeling any improvement but eventually I slowly came around. To say that Dr. Asser's involvement improved the quality of my life is a colossal understatement. I don't have the palpitations anymore or, if I do, they fly under the radar. I've seen him annually since. 5 stars every time. Patient, professional, informative, friendly. I think the guy saved my life, maybe, maybe not but he most assuredly saved my sanity. I was a real basket case (not an over statement).

Being Asser's patient has been my worst medical experience. There is no follow up, pre-or post procedure, the lack of empathy and bedside manner is appalling. If you wish to be treated as a number, and not a person with a critical medical issue, this is the medical practice for you.

He is the rudest doctor I have ever dealt with. He was the doctor on call, and when he called me back, he complained that he was driving in traffic and I was making g his driving difficult. He also gave me medical advice that was in conflict with another doctor and he would not let me explain
