John P. Hakim, MD & Associates Cardiology

I have been a patient of Dr. John Hakim for almost two years now. He is an amazing cardiologist. He truly cares about his patients and has wonderful bed side manners which unfortunately is hard to find now a days in the medical field as everything seems so rushed with individual patient care where you almost feel unheard and like just a number. Dr. Hakim listens to my concern and make me feel heard. He talks with his patients not "at them" like some providers have the habit of doing to their patients. He educates his patients to help them make the best informed decisions about their health concerns and works with you on a plan of action and a way forward that is comfortable and involves the patient's beliefs and wishes. Thank you for being such an amazing doctor .

I have been coming to Dr. Hakim for over a year now and he is such a compassionate and caring doctor. He is one of the best cardiologist doctors in Maryland and because he was so caring and compassionate on my first couple of visits, I asked if I could use him as my primary care doctor. He does a wonderful job in researching before giving me medical advice and explains what medications he is putting me on. I have lost over 50 pounds since I have been seeing Dr. Hakim. Dr. Hakim is readily available and always return calls, The staff is always very kind and efficient. Dr. Hakim goes above and beyond In taking care of my needs and questions And I am very happy that I started coming to him.

Dr. Hakim and staff are wonderful and helpful. He ruled out serious heart conditions for my husband and recommended he see a neurologist. But they saw how weak he was and loaned him a wheelchair in the meantime. Very caring facility... highly recommended.

Dr hakim is so incredibly personable, I have never had a doctor of any kind spend two hours talking with me and making sure I understood everything we spoke about. He is very thorough and prioritized my concerns. He made me feel like I was in safe hands. His assistant Sade' was extremely kind and reassuring.

I have one of the rarest tumors in the world, that produces adrenalin and pours it into my body, Dr.John Hakim not only was the only doctor knowledgeable enough about this rare tumor to actually be able to help me, but he was very accessible to me, helping me on weekends, I could even talk to him on the phone and by text in person, not through a service or answering machine, as I was adjusting to very complex new medications. Dr.Hakim has a very professional and nice bedside manner, he is very personable and nice, answers questions thoroughly and is. truly a pleasure to work with, and honestly probably saved my life, no one else was helping me or could help me, but Dr John Hakim was right on the ball, he just knew about this rare disorder and disease and helped save my heart from permanent life threatening damage. Hes an amazing doctor!!.
