I took my mom here after a recommendation from the wonderful doctor at medstar urgent care in Wheaton. Wait time is to be expected, hospital visits are not a quick in and out. From the beginning, everyone greeted us with a smile, were kind and polite. The waiting room was relatively empty and quiet (it was the day after thanksgiving, so maybe this had something to do with it). We were called several times for different tasks (bloodwork, X-rays, ct scans). Every nurse and doctor attending my mom was gentle and kind. We were admitted to a room where again, the nurse was exceptional. Our doctor was Dr. Eric and he was absolutely wonderful! I cannot say enough good things about him. He answered all our questions and attempted to speak Spanish to my mom as well. In the end, we left feeling satisfied and confident that we were taken care of in the best way. Thank you to the essential and professional nurses and doctors. We appreciate ALL you do!!!

Being admitted to the hospital via the ER is never fun. Especially when the last visit to the hospital felt like a nightmare. But, let me say that just as I see a stark shift in the reviews here to more positive, my experience exemplifies it. I'm a complex medical patient with multiple medications, but this visit went well. I gave 4 stars because there were some bumps but not with the people mentioned here: I met amazing providers: Dr. Teresa Nguyen in the ER, Dr. Brown (hospitalist), Dr. Bellapu (Infectious Diseases), Candace and Dr. Koi in urology, and a cardiologist . These providers seemed to actually take time to hear me. I know they had other patients but they took time to talk to me and hear my questions. I didn't feel like I was burdening them with questions or with reviewing my understanding. Sure this is what providers "should do" but it isn't what always happens. Then there were my amazing 5th floor nurses!! Ladies, you know your names. There was Melinda (I hope I have the name right) in ultrasound who showed me what she saw and explained what the images showed. Also, to the nutrition staff, thank you. You delivered meals with a smile. Transport staff, you also did an amazing job. Thank you all for helping me feel comfortable in my local hospital again.

From the moment I arrived at Med Star Hospital, I was met with professionalism, courtesy, and genuine compassion. Every aspect of my visit--from check-in to discharge was handled with remarkable efficiency and warmth. The reception at the Front Desk was warm. The staff greeted me with kindness and attentiveness, making the registration process smooth and reassuring. I immediately felt at ease with the Doctors who was not only highly knowledgeable, but also took the time to listen, explain clearly, and ensure I felt comfortable every step of the way. The facility was spotless and well-organized, creating a peaceful atmosphere that truly supports calmness in a doctor's office. Follow-Up & Discharge Instructions were clear, and I felt genuinely cared for even as I left. The Doctor ensured I had everything I needed and answered all my questions with patience. Med Star Hospital exemplifies what healthcare should be--professional, compassionate, and patient-centered. I am deeply grateful for the outstanding care I received and would confidently recommend this hospital to anyone seeking top-tier medical attention.

Clean, modern, and well-run facility with professional and friendly staff. They ensure a high standard of quality of care so you don't just feel like another patient. I want to highlight the exceptional care I received from Dr. Vandha Sharma (endocrinologist), Erin Ruane, CRNP, Dr. Kalonia (hospitalist), along with the nursing team. The team of doctors could've gone through the motions and followed standard protocol, but they demonstrated they truly took my case seriously and went the extra mile to do more digging - and ended up making a major discovery that the dozens of previous doctors I had met with all missed. They took their time to explain everything in detail and made the necessary communication to their network of doctors and colleagues to plan ahead for next steps, including following up with myself and them to ensure everyone has what they need, and never made me feel rushed when it came to answering questions. Nobody likes going to the hospital, but if you have to, I highly recommend Medstar in Olney as they have exhibited outstanding care that is rare to find anywhere else.

Always a good experience when I have an appointment at Medstar. Convieant to my home which I appreciate. All my Dr's are great as well as the staff I have encountered. I have been to many other care facilities, but I feel at home with Medstar. All my care providers are Exceptional & I am treated with Care, kindness & I appreciate that very much. I feel as though out of all the other places I have received medical care, this has been the Best overall experience each time I hv an appointment with the Dr's that I see for my various health issues, as well as the other staff members I have encountered.
