Comprehensive Cardiac Care: Barold Helen MD

I was referred as a new patient and she was able to see me relatively fast. She is thorough and very knowledgeable. The 1st visit was good with the testing etc.however her listening and what she treated me with was not appropriate for me and caused me to gain 7 pounds and have side effects. She also is bias and down right rude.cold and disrespectful. She kept mixing me up with another minority female. I was flabbergasted. Thanks for the referral but no thanks. I am now being treated appropriately w a few tweaks in meds and a Dr. That actually LISTENS!! I do feel for her work staff. They dont know their worth! She is totally rude She doesnt take calls. She tells her staff what to say n is not helpful!!

When I first went to Dr. Barold in 2021 (I think it was then), I was very happy with her. She was very thorough and addressed my concerns. I felt like she was definitely a top doctor in her field in the DC area with her expertise. I liked her and referred people to her. However, recently during my visits she has been short with me and downright rude. I find this to be completely and totally unacceptable. She must have forgotten that the patient hires the doctor and that the doctor works for the patient and not the other way around. While, I believe she is a knowledgable doctor, she must be stressed overworked or maybe she just has turned in to a rude, nasty person, but the way she spoke to me is giving crazy unstable vibes. I am 100% positive that reviews like mine are nothing but a shoulder shrug to her. She will most certainly not care, and why is that? Because she is arrogant and only an arrogant narcissist would NOT care what her patients think. My heart goes out to her staff, I know she is rude to them too.

Dr. Barold and her staff are top-notch. Friendly, down-to-earth and extremely knowledgeable. They spend time getting to know you and your needs, providing stellar care. Highly recommend!

Dr Barold is fantastic. My spouse has had complex medical issues for years. Recently she was performing a clearance for surgery when his heart stopped on table. Calmly she sent him to Suburban hospital where a pacemaker was inserted. She is firm with my spouse which is needed. She is straightforward and concerned about her patients. Wish there were more physicians who look at all the pieces of conditions.

Dr. Barold and her staff are excellent! They were professional, efficient, and organized. We had our blood drawn and completed all the necessary medical exams during our first visit, making the process smooth and convenient. Highly recommend!
