Dr. Ernest Kojo Amegashie

While I like Dr. Amagashi, his blond little echogram tech is another matter. I just returned from an echogram with her. This was my second one and I remember the first one 3 years ago with another technician as a normal experience with the tech treating me with consideration. This new tech not so much. The whole thing was one of the more uncomfortable exams I have gone through in recent years. What really got to me was the end of it, when I was covered in the conductor gel and I had to ask if she had something I could wipe it off with. Normally an ultrasound tech hands you some cloths to wipe down with, one usually does not have to ask. She replied with: "I have paper towels" and proceeded to hand me three of the hardest paper towels you can imagine. To say they were not absorbent would be an understatement. She took her time handing them to me as well, so the gel started drying on my skin. When she finally left the room I had to grab more from her little stack as well as some alcohol wipes to get the dried parts off my chest. So if you are going in for an echogram, be prepared to be treated without care and consideration.

I had an appointment after being recommended to do a follow up per request of my primary care provider. Dr. Amegashie has seen me a total of "3" times including this visit. He asked why I was there and I responded that it was requested by my primary care. He asked what I wanted him to do for me and I felt lost and clueless. He's the doctor, not me. After arguing with me for a few minutes and belittling me to the point that I had to walk out of the room, he began gossiping with his staff and receptionist about the incident. I would never trust him with my care again. Note: the reasoning for my visit was to address high cholesterol, high triglycerides and high blood pressure and to find a new medication for each issue as my previous prescriptions were not working properly. Please, schedule your appointments with someone else in the area if you can. Your life is worth more than what he will make you feel that it is.

I had my yearly appointment scheduled. They called to confirm. Told them I'd be there. Then after hours when I couldn't call back, they called and left message canceled my appointment because I had seen another Cardiologist (2nd opinion). I immediately called back, left message I was coming and did NOT want my appointment canceled. Upon arriving they told me they canceled my appt. Put me in room, Dr AMEGASHI REFUSED to see me again . He told me because I saw another Cardiologist? Which I have a right to do but was NOT impressed with them at all. I am at total loss . A health care professional just dismissed me like this. I have had increase in heart related issues since I had Covid inDec. BP uncontrolled, dizziness , short of breath, exhaustion and fatigue with shortness of breath. I would hope a DR. that cares about his patients would want to help? Unfortunately it's NOT Dr. AMEGASHI Also my husband also was a patient until 2yrs ago. Was told he was fine after tests etc. Less than 2 months later he had a heart attack. Thankfully ER surgery put stents in and he recovered. So EXTREMELY disappointed in our Healthcare here.

The doctor is wonderful. The receptionist is very rude and not compassionate. I had to reschedule my appointment a few times do to illness, during Covid, and now I called to reschedule due to a chipped tooth, she refused to do so. If something happens to me guess I'll be calling a lawyer.

I am and have been bounced between doctors for my condition. I can't even care for my 7 month baby because of my condition. It's a very urgent need to be seen diagnosis. The office lady said well if you're that bad go to the ER. Besides we aren't scheduling u til November. Despite the urgency by my pcp and other specialist to ask to be seen right away. If the office staff is rude I can only imagine with the doctor she works for is like. She could have been professional but instead she was cold, rude, and extremely short.
