She administered tests other doctors refused to run after actually listening to me and checking that my records reflected the need. Thorough, friendly, caring and professional. I recommend her once a month to my friends back East, even though I moved out of Maryland years ago.
I have been going to Dr. Polam for approximately 6 years now. I think she is an excellent doctor. She is very concerned about her patients health. Reason I did not give a five, because the front desk staff can be a little rude at times. However, never with me, but have seen with other patients. I also noticed those individuals are no longer there.
Dr. Polam is a very capable physician who genuinely cares for her patients and takes steps to promote healthy living and preventative care. She is a good diagnostician and is able to refer patients to capable specialists. She faces the pressures of a difficult healthcare system and the only reason I give her 4 rather than 5 stars is that she is sometimes rushed most likely just due to the pressures of operating a small primary care practice. She is a very good doctor.
