My Son was a passenger victim in a car accident in March 2024. This place does not accept accident claim 's, so we were forced to use our medical insurance to be seen & then turned the bills over to Nationwide. Nationwide uses a 3rd party system to negotiate medical bills. Nationwide settled to pay $187. Since the medical bill was tied up with our insurance provider, we never received a bill. FINALLY, 9 months later we received our 1st bill & it came from a debt collector/ lawyer's office. The debt collector, thru The Cardiovascular Center, insisted we pay the full amount of the bill, being $482. My Son was sent a check for $187 from Nationwide, to pay in full the Cardiovascular bill. After months of emails, proof of Nationwide allowance amount paperwork to be paid to the provider, a 6 page hand written letter from us, harassing phone calls from the debt collector, many phone calls made to all parties, we got nowhere! Eventually my Son started receiving court notice threats from the debt collector, who was very rude & impossible to speak to, we were forced to pay the full amount, to keep his credit in top notch condition. How is it legal, to force an accident victim to pay out of pocket, for a medical bill that he should not be paying. We would have gladly took this all the way to court, but after a year of aggravation, wasted time, & dealing with ignorance with the billing department, debt collector, & no help from Nationwide, we were done! This has been one of the most aggravating financial bills to get anywhere with, that I've ever seen! Same on ALL parties! I will never use this place again.
