I've gone to CMG for years (35 years) and they are great-I can always get an apt and I'm always able to get my needs addressed quickly and efficiently. I feel like they really take the time to see you and help address any health issues. I've been very happy with their staff who are professional and friendly.

EDIT: I received a call today from the supplier stating that the holdup is actually from my insurance. I'm not sure why Catoctin never told me the order was placed but I am updating this review to reflect this update.
I had a really great appointment with Madeline El Ghoul and I really like her as a primary care provider, however I have nothing but issues with the front desk staff.
I was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea and have called 3 times now to get my CPAP machine ordered - the first time I left a message with the staff, the second time I was told they would have to put in the order the following week on Monday, the third time I called to follow up on that order and was told it was not placed and that she would forward me to the nurse. She forwarded me to the exact same mailbox that I left my original message. I am at a loss and don't know what I need to do get the proper care and supplies that I need short of just showing up there.
For anyone considering, steer clear. The front desk staff makes getting healthcare a logistic nightmare even though the providers have good intentions.

In years past I would have given Catoctin Medical Group 4 to 5 stars. They weren't perfect, but were nice and actually cared for their patients. Those days are gone now with a couple exceptions.
I have several folders of medical history with them. Dr. Krantz and this office knew me thoroughly medically.
The new owner of Catoctin Medical Group, Dr Aziz, must feel that it's acceptable to air private information in public in their waiting room in front of other patients. Of those patients in the waiting room, 5 of them, 4 commented to my family member on how messed up that was, 1 shook her head per the family member with me who, with everyone else, witnessed this interaction.
I have not experienced this before in my 68 years. The office has asked me by certified mail not to return because I expressed how inappropriate this behavior was, first to the receptionist, then to the office manager who believed she had the power and right to make this breech of patient privacy acceptable and argued repeatedly that she did. I did not, and do not agree. Obviously, this office's owner and management feels that this mistreatment of patients and public verbal release of private information is a proper business practice.
Most of the staff are genuinely nice. I have interacted with all of them over the years. Katie is very nice. My mother loved Dr. Aziz as she is nice to your face, though she suffered dementia and some treatments had questionable efficacy. I had to show staff once how to draw blood on myself after an unsuccessful attempt with some fishing around with the needle in my arm. I would still be diabetic and insulin dependent if I had continued to follow their NP's treatments. Once I came in with a wart on my neck. I was told it was not a wart and that removing it was inappropriate. Well, per the dermatologist, that specific wart turned into roughly 200 warts on my face and neck from shaving. They were burned off over several visits electrically. People are human and we all make mistakes. I never mentioned these things to anyone and didn't complain or post. It was never vindictive, just human or a learning curve. I knew they cared.
People are human and do make mistakes, as I said before. This office now doubles down on their inappropriate behavior. This is not a mistake. This arrogance is now the rule I'm afraid, not the exception. I cannot blame just a poorly trained receptionist or an office manager that is something other than kind. Such problems start at the top.
I will miss Dr Krantz, the old owner who cared for me and my family well and genuinely for 33 years. He coordinated my care from all the different providers I saw through the years. He kept my entire health history. He is a genuinely good man.
I hope those of you who read this have a better experience.

Sigh. Unfortunately, I agree with some of the other comments here. I have been here for years and they've been great. About two years ago the practice was bought and has gone way south. It's really sad. It used to be great. After 35 years, I am now looking around for other doctors. It's really sad. Who wanted this after 35 years? :-(
